Some times you might have faced problem with your CD/DVD drive, which will ot detect properly
Reason:
The registry entry of your disc burning software might not have removed properly
Due to hardware error (The CD/DVD drive might have become totally unusable)
Fix:
In Run window, type in: regedit and press Enter
At the Registry Editor window, locate, and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
If the Upper filters key is available,right-click and delete it.
and in the same way delete the Lower filters key also
close registry editor
If you want to accomplish the steps above automatically, try this FixIt from Microsoft
This should fix the problem if the issue is with the filter buffers.
try checking the power and data cables of the CD/DVD drive. make sure the cables are properly connected.
If the above doesn't fix the issue, replace the CD/DVD drive.
